sustainable scribbles

I love the power and magic of words and sometimes feel like there are words that I need to write down.

Hopefully you enjoy reading these as much as I love writing them.

Who am I?

I was on Brighton beach, watching the waves lap against the shore, when I felt inspired to write this peom. It was the first one I wrote and really inspires me to keep going and keep searching for solutions.

Mother Earth

This poem was written on Valentine’s Day 2020 to show my love for Mother Earth. I believe she should be valued more and I wanted to write something in honour of her.

Money and Me

I used to earn a good wage but I gave it up to focus on more planet friendly work, and creating my children’s books. Now I struggle with funding…but overall I am happier. I was asked by a friend to write down what my relationship with money was, and this is the result.

International women’s day

International Women's Day.jpg

This is a poem which came to me for International Women’s Day 2020. There are such incredible people making a huge impact.

I am fortunate to live in a time where we know the impact of our lives on a wider community and on the planet. Where we can be the change we want to see. Where we can inspire and teach and above all, hope. Where we build eachother up and support one another. Our soul is who we are and what guides us, not what bones or skin it is wrapped in.

I have hope for our future. Where we can all be equal and all voices are heard and listened to. Where we can unite and make changes for the better; for us, our family, our friends, our communities and the planet we live on.
