The English Stamp company has been around since 1992 and are based in a converted dinosaur factory on the Isle of Purbeck. Stamps are such a wonderful way to make your own stationery, invitations, cards, wrapping paper, tags…the list goes on. But what about the materials used? The English Stamp Company ships their products in plastic free, recyclable packaging, their wood is from sustainably sourced and fast growing beech trees, their rubber is polymer vs natural which uses 95% less electricity to manufacture and 67% less waste.

It doesn’t stop there though! They replaced all factory lighting, changing fluorescent strip lighting for modern high frequency tubes which uses ~60% less electricity to produce roughly the same volume of stamps. They have also removed the propane gas heating from our factory and winter heating is now supplied by a wood burning stove. They go further though, because to feed this woodburner in the future, they have planted 500 ash trees on their land and aim to be self-sufficient by 2025.

On a personal note: I first found this company at a Christmas fair which started my love of making cards at home. I then remembered them when looking for stamps for my wedding invitations and now I have purchased a range of designs for cards decorating as well as my custom Eco Protection Squad logo stamp through them. I am always thrilled with how they are packaged and arrive to me, and love putting my stamps to good use.
